‘Growing Soybeans’ Activity

  • Clear plastic cup (9 oz.)
  • Potting soil
  • Soybeans
  • Water
  1. Fill a clear plastic cup about halfway full of soil.
  2. Sprinkle about 5 soybean seeds on top of the soil.
  3. Lightly cover beans with enough soil to fill the cup about ¾ full.
  4. Water just enough to moisten the soil.
  5. Place cup in a sunny window.
  6. Keep soil moist but do not overwater.
  7. Soybeans will sprout in about 5–7 days!
