CommonGround

CommonGround is a national movement of farm women who want to share information about farming and the food they grow. Consumers in the cities and suburbs are more disconnected from farm life than ever before, and that disconnect has led to misconceptions about modern farming and the people behind it.

A group of Kansas farm women is working to help dispel myths and build trust in farm families again. They want to answer questions, share facts and tell their personal stories about farm life.

The Kansas soybean and corn commissions support CommonGround Kansas, which has been part of the CommonGround national program since 2011.

The biggest hazard entering a grain bin is suffocation. This may happen through engulfment when stepping on flowing or bridged grain, or from toxic gases within the bin environment. If you must enter one of your bins, follow proper safety guidelines.
