Herb Croutons
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 4 cups bread cubes

Combine vegetable oil, margarine, rosemary, basil and lemon juice in small mixing bowl. Place cubed bread in an ungreased 13-by-9-inch baking pan. Drizzle herb mixture over bread and toss to coat. Place in a 375 F oven for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted. Stir after 5 minutes.
Makes about 3 cups

Bacon and Chives Croutons

- 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 1 tablespoon crumbled bacon
- 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion salt

Combine vegetable oil, margarine, crumbled bacon, chives, garlic powder and onion salt in small mixing bowl. Place cubed bread in an ungreased 13-by-9-inch baking pan. Drizzle bacon mixture over bread and toss to coat. Place in a 375 F oven for 10 minutes or until lightly toasted. Stir after 5 minutes.
