Country-style Green Beans

  • 6 cups fresh green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 strips bacon, chopped
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup soy nuts, roasted and salted
  1. Place beans and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook 10–15 minutes or until beans are crisp tender; drain and set aside.
  2. In large skillet, saute bacon and onion until bacon is cooked and onion is tender. Add soy nuts and lightly brown.
  3. Add green beans and simmer 10 minutes to heat beans.
