Country-style Green Beans
- 6 cups fresh green beans, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 cups water
- 3 strips bacon, chopped
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup soy nuts, roasted and salted

- Place beans and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook 10–15 minutes or until beans are crisp tender; drain and set aside.
- In large skillet, saute bacon and onion until bacon is cooked and onion is tender. Add soy nuts and lightly brown.
- Add green beans and simmer 10 minutes to heat beans.
