Candied Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 lb walnut halves (or combination of walnuts, pecans, soynuts, cashews)

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine sugar and salt
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg white and water until frothy
  3. Toss walnuts in the egg white mixture to coat
  4. Gradually add sugar mixture and stir to coat nuts. Spread on parchment lined baking sheet
  5. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes
