Onion Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chopped yellow or white onion
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup plain soy yogurt
- 1/4 cup crumbled French fried onions plus 1 Tbsp. crumbled French fried onions are softened and golden
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 green onion, chopped
Directions:
- Saute in skillet chopped onions with vegetableoil; cook until onions are softened and golden.
- Add sugar and salt; stir and cook an additional minute; remove heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine plain soy yogurt, sauteed onions, 1/4 cup crumbled French fried onions and Worcestershire sauce.
- Refrigerate about 30 minutes before serving.
- To serve garnish with 1 Tbsp. crumbled French fried onions and chopped green onion.
- Serve with relishes and crackers.
