Youth Education
What can young people learn from soybeans? How about the science of growing with biotechnology? Or the real story behind the foods we eat every day? Or how the oil from a green, leafy plant is renewing the way we fuel our cars, trucks, buses, tractors and more?
There is more to soybeans than meets the eye, so the Kansas Soybean Commission’s youth-education program helps young people begin to understand soybean production and utilization. It shares the soybean message with elementary, secondary and post-secondary students and their instructors. KSC distributes educational materials about growing soybeans and using soy products to schools and youth groups. Commission representatives also make presentations.
Through their checkoff, Kansas soybean farmers are proud to partner with the Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, Kansas FFA and 4-H, and other youth organizations.
