Brownie Triple Chocolate Bark

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate squares
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate baking chips

Directions:

  1. Place margarine and semi-sweet chocolate squares in microwave safe bowl
  2. Heat on low setting until chocolate is melted; stir or whisk to combine
  3. Add granulated sugar, egg, water and vanilla; blend
  4. Add flour and cocoa; thoroughly combine
  5. Line 15×10-inch baking pan or jelly roll pan with parchment paper
  6. Spread batter over parchment paper
  7. Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over batter*
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until firm to the touch and brown around edge**
  9. Remove from oven and lightly score brownies into squares or triangular pieces or break into pieces when cooled.

*Sprinkle with coarsely chopped nuts or other varieties of candy chips.
** For a non-crispy bark; bake 30 minutes until firm; check with wooden pick inserted in center; clean when removed.
