Kansas Soybean Commission Schedules Aug. 7 Meeting
The Kansas Soybean Commission (KSC) is scheduled to conduct its Annual Meeting on Friday, Aug. 7, at the Kansas Soybean Building in Topeka. It is set to begin at 8 a.m.
During that meeting, the commissioners will elect officers for the coming year and approve their request for proposals (RFP) for fiscal year 2022 research and education projects. Other discussion topics include reports on state and organizational programs and administrative items.
To obtain a complete agenda or to suggest additional matters for deliberation, contact KSC Administrator Kenlon Johannes at email@example.com or call the Kansas Soybean office at 877-KS-SOYBEAN (877-577-6923). A link to the meeting’s Zoom broadcast is also available by contacting the office.
The Kansas Soybean Commission, established in 1977 and headquartered in Topeka, includes nine volunteer farmer-commissioners who are elected by their peers. They oversee investments of the legislated “soybean checkoff” assessment in research, consumer information, market development, industry relations and farmer outreach to improve the profit opportunities for all Kansas soybean farmers.
