Berryton farmer elected to Clean Fuels Governing Board
Clean Fuels Alliance America hosted their November Membership meeting in Washington, D.C. During this time Clean Fuels and farmers across the country met with law makers and their staff to educate them about agriculture.
Bob Haselwood, Berryton, was elected to the Clean Fuels Governing Board by his peers during the meeting.
”I’m proud to represent Kansas farmers in this new leadership role. We have a unique position as a state with every step of the process from farm to fuel within our boarders. The industry has its challenges, but there is an opportunity to drive significant demand for soybean producers now and into the future,” Haselwood says.
Clean Fuels Alliance America connects leaders across the biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel industries to deliver better, clean fuels now for people and the planet.
Seaboard Energy joined the Hill visits to share the importance of finalizing the tax credit guidance, increasing volumes under the Renewable Fuel Standard, and other policies impacting the biodiesel and renewable diesel industries.
“There are a lot of opportunities, but there are also challenges to address. A bright spot is that there are so many companies with customers that want to lower their carbon footprint and that value backs up through the supply chain. Companies are looking for solutions to help them to be less carbon intensive,” Haselwood says.
As a Kansas soybean farmer himself, Haselwood is excited to dive deeper into the technical aspects of renewable fuels and look for opportunities that could further promote the profitability of each Kansas soybean farmer.
