KSC schedules Sept. 8 meeting, plan to discuss research priorities

Commissioners are scheduled to gather for the Kansas Soybean Commission’s Annual Meeting Sept. 8. A key part of the agenda is to set priorities for the upcoming checkoff funding cycle.

Additional agenda items cover funded project modification discussion, hearing updates from industry youth organizations, hearing organizational updates and electing a new slate of officers.

As the first meeting of the fiscal year, KSC designates the annual meeting as an opportunity to establish research priorities to include in its request for proposals. The RFP process opens in the fall and accepts funding requests to be reviewed at the KSC meeting in December.
